Fully compatible with Arduino IDE

You don’t need to worry if you can use Arduino IDE to program it. You can use it the same as Arduino Mega 2560 rev3 board. They are fully compatible(to be accurately, they are exactly the same in layout and function).

Side Reset Button

The same as the original, the reset button is at the corner of the board. This is convenient if you plug other shields on the mainboard.

Short Circuit Protection

Imagine if there is no short-circuit protection function, if you carelessly connect an I/O port to GND signal, the board may smoke. This board has such function, and you don’t need to worry about short-circuit carelessly.

High Current Ability Voltage Regulator

The on board 5V voltage regulator is high quality and can provide 1000mA current at most. Usually an LED needs 20mA current to light. The AMS1117 chip some modules uses can only provide 150mA current. Consider if it’s enough.

Atmega16U2 USB Converter

The USB to TTL converter is Atmega16U2. So you can use it in the same way as Arduino Mega2560. If you plug several Arduino releated boards together with this mini board to PC, they all will have their own COM port. No need to worry about the interference.

For the original Arduino Mega 2560 R3 has a big board size, some time it maybe not easy to embed it into your system, the ePalZoneXP Mega 2560 Pro Mini board will be a good choice for your system. It’s cute and small size. Also based on the strong voltage regulator, this board has a high current ouput ability(1A) and good short-circuit protection. Besides the above virutes, it also uses the Atmega16U2 chip as the USB to serial converter. So you can use it the same way as the original Arduino Mega2560. You can connect several of the Mini board to your PC. And all will have there own COM port. You can upload sketchs to them without removing other Mini boards.
